Crossbones

I have begun working on a series with a skull-and-crossbones layout depicting cultural icons who left an impression on me. The drawings are approximately 5″x7″. I envision thirty of them as one large piece, individually framed, hung on one wall in a grid six across by five high. I have completed fifteen to date. Here a a few.

Mars Attacks!

MarsAttacks!
Did you know that the film was based on a controversial trading card set made by baseball card giant Topps in the 60’s? Artwork for these cards was done by Norman Saunders. His broad range of work you may likely have seen without realizing it was his. I recently picked up a book of his work. I really admire all that he accomplished.
